Mihitautoko

Every morning Ms T chooses one person to do mihi tautoko. Last week Ms T chose me to do mihi tautotoko. It was My first time I had ever said my mihi altogether off by heart.

Here is my mihi for the morning.

Katangi te ti ti
Katangi te ka ka
Katangi hoki ahau
Tiheiwa mauriora

He mihi whanui tenei kia tatou katoa
kia koe te rangatira e ----------- tena koe mo to mahi whakamoemiti ki to tatou matua i te rangi

kia ora koutou kua hui mai nei ki tenei huihuiga ki te kawe mai i te aroha kanui te koa mo to koutou kaha ki te reo maori ki te awhina i nga mahi e pa ana ki tenei kura

    Hey Mauina i really love your Mihi Tautoko and yes some time you can get shy in front of the class.I only did the mihi Tautoko once.Tino pai te korero.

    Ka pai to mihimihi Mauina. I am very pleased with your effort! Your pronounciation of Te Reo Maori is fabulous. Slow your korero down a little so people can understand you better. It's the same when speaking in any language. He whetu tiramarama koe! You are a superstar!
