My Zinger Pinger Friend

My Zinger Pinger is the the best Zinger Pinger in the whole world because it is very talented. It can dance, sing and even jerk. It’s name is Xiao Dre and he is very good at karate. Xiao Dre’s skin color is light brown and he has cute big blue eyes. Xiao Dre has his own very special power and that special power is that he can read peoples minds which is really cool.

Xiao Dre is an only child in his Zinger Pinger family but he was abandoned by his owner Randy. Xiao Dre and I lived in China for 8 years but then we moved to New Zealand because we heard that there was going to be a Tsunami. Xiao Dre’s Favorite celebrity is Lady Gaga but Xiao Dre really really likes Justin Bieber because of his hair style . Xiao Dre is really interested in Lady Gaga because of her big weird dresses.

In Xiao Dre’s spare time he likes to read books write songs and ride on his BMX. Xiao Dre’s best friends are Winny the Pooh,Barney and Elmo . The island that you see on the top left corner is Xiaos Dre's island. The islands name is Stinger.

My movie is all about Joy. In this movie there is a a girl who does not have any friends and she goes to ask some other girls if she can play with them. Luckily they let her play with them. She feels joyful!

Procedure:How to put a tent up

Materials:pegs,poles,cover,string,tent,bag and hammer.

Method:

Step1:Make sure that you check that you have all the equipment you need to use when you are putting up a tent.

Step2:Look for a flat location where you can put your tent up.

Step3:Make sure you remove any sticks or sharp things that you know will make the tent get holes.

Step4:Make sure that the poles are all connected.

Step5:Then make sure that the pegs are all ready so that when it comes to putting up your tent your pegs will be ready to go.

Step6:After you have finished doing that their should be another pole.

Step7:Now in your tent their should be a string at the top where you tie it on to your pole so that it makes the tent stay up.

Last Step:The very last step is to check if everything is everything is good and check if you have tightened the pegs up properly and tightly.

2011 here we come

This year is the first year ever that Point England has had their ever first year eights. I feel so special that I get to be one of those people. During our class times here there have still been construction work going on around us. Even though it gets noisy at times we do get annoyed but we still try our best to concentrate on what we have to do in class. This year I have also been in a beautiful new classroom with completely new students that I don’t really know. I have got on really well with all of them. Also in our classroom this year is going to be a mixture of years 7&8 students.
This year I am really looking forward to working with our brand new net books and I am also looking forward to cooperating and blending in with some new friends. I know that this year is going to be a great and successful year.2011 here we come!!!

6.3 magnitude quake hits Chch

It was very devastating yesterday afternoon when I got back home to hear that there was a 6.3 magnitude quake that hit Christchurch at 12.51 in the after noon. It was very sad news for the people and kids down in Christchurch because some of them had to sleep in there cars and tents because they couldn't get back to their homes.

I also feel sorry for those who's family members are stuck in and under of collapsed buildings. I know that family's down there are still shaken by that killer quake and hope that this will be the last time it will ever happen.

Well I was watching the news I noticed that there were a lot of elderly people who were injured and hurt from there heads and other parts of there bodies. Right now Point England school are figuring out a way to help those people down in Christchurch. Point england also had a moment of silence this morning to remember those who are suffering right now and those who are still trapped in buildings. All our hopes go out to those affected.

My Holiday highlights

The first week of my holiday was really exciting because my uncle was going to be arriving at my house from Napier. I couldn't wait until he came because I knew when he arrived we'll head straight to Sylvia Park to do some shopping for him and my brother and my sisters too. Well after a day of summer hotness me and my family headed off to Bucklands Beach to go and cool off with a nice cold swim. We didn't get home until 7:30pm.

Finally my last holiday highlight was going over to Manukau to spend the New Years with my grandma and some other cousins of mine that I didn't even know of. Their names are Christopher, Christine, Jennifer, Priscilla, Dannielle and Mira. They are the best cousins I have ever had. While I was there we watched some Phillipine movies and High School Musical.

Athletics

Last Wednesday was our school athletics day. I was really nervous but at the same time excited. Our first event was softball throw it was really boring because I had to wait in the long 12 yr old girls line. Oh Finally I said to myself it was finally my turn I threw very hard that the next day my hand was so sore that I couldn't even move it but I was really proud of myself because at the end I cam second place.

We had to wait for like another 20 minutes because we were with the 11 year olds and it was their turn. Our second event was shot put and this time it was better because we have to wait so long like we did at softball at the end I came 1st place which was even better I think I WON from all of everyone were supporting me
